Paddy + Tara | Harpers Ferry Engagement Photographer

I had the opportunity of walking around Harper’s Ferry for this engagement session with Paddy + Tara + their handsome son. Harper’s Ferry is one of my favorite photo spots. It is such a unique town with so many pretty backdrops… from the river, to the old buildings, to the train station. And the weather was just perfect and made for a perfect session and perfect photos.

Paddy + Tara will be tieing the knot next June and I couldn’t be more excited for them! I’m especially excited to see Tara in her pink dress… how cool is that?

Erin's Maternity Session | Manassas, VA Maternity Photographer

I traveled to Manassas, VA to photograph this lovely momma's maternity session a few weeks ago. This session took place at the Manassas National Battlefield Park. This is Erin's second pregnancy... first was a girl and this time it's a BOY! Boy's are the best (I mean, I do have 3 of them)! Mommy & Daddy will definitely have their hands full with these two, though. Although, I think big sister Sydda will be very helpful when it comes to Baby Kainen. Sydda was all smiles and seemed very excited to have a new baby brother.

Baby Kainen will make his appearance into the world at the end of this month. Keep a look out for baby pictures to follow!

The Quimby Family | Hagerstown, MD Family Photographer

I am happy to share this lovely family's session... who just happen to be my neighbors! I met this family a week prior to this session as I was playing outside with my boys. After living in my neighborhood for over a year and a half, it's crazy to think that this is the first time running into this wonderful family! 

This session took place at the Hagerstown City Park on Memorial Day. It was so fitting that I spent my Memorial Day with this family. Tom is currently serving in the U.S. Army. Thank you for serving our country, Tom!

The oldest daughter, Jacie, wanted absolutely nothing to do with me for the first half of the session. But even her "grouch" faces made for adorable photographs! It didn't take her long before she couldn't stop smiling! Now... her sister, Emma, was the complete opposite. This almost 2 year old was so outgoing and bubbly... It's so crazy how siblings can be so different from one another :) I love being able to photograph children and letting their little personalities show with each photograph!

Silas 9 Months Old | Leesburg, VA Children & Family Photographer

I had a wonderful time spending one of my May afternoons with this lovely family! Kristen & Rob (and obviously Silas) had just moved to Leesburg all the way from California... Talk about a move! This Momma contacted me to have Silas' 9 month old pictures taken, and I was beyond excited! Little boys are the best (I mean, I do have 3 of my own!)! Silas has had his pictures taken every 3 months since birth... and we can't break the cycle now! And who wouldn't want to photograph this cutie? 

This session took place at the Rust Sanctuary in Leesburg. This was a new location for me and I must say, I absolutely LOVED it! So many great options for backdrops. It will definitely be on the top of my list for locations in Leesburg. It also gave Kristen, Rob & Silas a chance to explore the beautiful surroundings of their new home.

Silas was such a happy little boy for his entire session, so full of smiles and such a personality! I had a hard time culling through the images to pick out my favorites, I just loved them all! I must add that Silas stood for the FIRST time EVER without Mom & Dad (however, he was holding on to a tree branch) and I was able to capture it. That is definitely one of the many reasons I love my job! The Wood family will now have photos of these memories to look back on. 

Get prepared Kristen & Rob. Silas will be 1 before you know it... and walking all over the place! They definitely grow up quick and you will miss these moments.. of crawling... standing... just sitting there...

Ashlee + Brandon | Martinsburg, WV Wedding Photographer

Ashlee contacted me back in October of 2013 as they were interested in my wedding photography services. We officially met in November for their wedding consultation/engagement session. That day, I knew (as well as this lovely couple) that we were the PERFECT match for each other! We had this initial connection. We not only discussed their plans for their special day, but we talked about my children, their journey together as a couple as well as their own personal struggles. Such an inspirational couple! Anyway, it's hard to believe that I met them over 6 months ago and their Wedding Day has already come and gone... Just like that.. It's over!

Their wedding took place at The Historic McFarland House in Martinsburg, WV. Such a gorgeous venue! It was mid-April, perfect weather. Not to hot, not to cold. The sun was shining, but not too bright.. it was just a perfect day. We couldn't have asked for better weather! I had the opportunity to spend my entire day with this couple, from the getting ready phase to the formals to the end of their reception with the sparkler exit.

I wish Ashlee + Brandon nothing but happiness for the future!
